What is the Healing Matrix Framework by Carly J Hahn exactly? The Healing Matrix is a 44-pillar healing and integration framework I created from my own healing experience, years of working with clients, pattern recognition, intuitive perception, spiritual development, and ancestral channeling. It is the same framework I use in my private Healing Matrix sessions to understand what may be happening underneath a current issue, why a pattern keeps repeating, and what other pieces may be connected to it.
The complete framework is organized into four parts. Foundational Awareness: Awakening and Groundwork is Part One, and I teach the entire first course free on YouTube.
What began as my attempt to understand my own life eventually became something much larger. The Healing Matrix developed as I started recognizing how wounds, conditioning, beliefs, choices, relationships, reactions, and repeated patterns interact with one another.
That is really where this work begins. Something keeps happening. Maybe the people change. The situation changes. Ten years go by. You swear you are never doing that shit again.
And somehow, here we are. Again. The Healing Matrix gives me a way to follow that thread.
What Is The Healing Matrix Framework by Carly J. Hahn the Book?
The Healing Matrix is a healing framework made up of 44 connected pillars of transformation. Each pillar explores a different part of healing, personal awareness, conditioning, behavior, relationships, emotional wounds, spirituality, self-understanding, and integration.
I use the word connected deliberately.
The 44 pillars are organized so the work can be learned and explored in manageable pieces, but human beings do not operate like filing cabinets. A trauma response can connect to a belief. That belief may have been reinforced through conditioning. The conditioning can influence what you tolerate in relationships. That relationship pattern may create resentment. The resentment may eventually point toward a boundary you never learned how to set.
Everything starts touching everything else.
That is why I rarely look at a current problem as an isolated event. I want to know what is underneath it. Then I want to know what is underneath that. And, because apparently we enjoy making things complicated, sometimes I want to know what the hell is underneath that.
The goal is to find the piece that actually matters.
Where Did The Healing Matrix Come From?
The Healing Matrix came from several different places because my own healing did too. Parts of it came directly from my life.
I had trauma to work through. I repeated patterns. I stayed quiet when I needed to speak. I adapted myself around other people. I carried conditioning I did not initially recognize as conditioning. I had relationships I needed to understand, wounds I needed to stop dancing around, and plenty of moments where I eventually had to admit that the common denominator in a repeating situation was, inconveniently, me.
That lived experience became part of the framework. But it was only one part.
Ancestral channeling became part of the framework
As my healing deepened and my intuitive abilities developed, I began receiving information through ancestral channeling that went beyond my individual experiences.
I started seeing connections between pieces that I had previously understood separately.
- How conditioning becomes behavior.
- How wounds influence beliefs.
- How beliefs influence choices.
- How repeated choices can become patterns.
- How patterns can continue until something makes us conscious enough to recognize what is actually happening.
Eventually the work stopped being only about understanding what happened to me. I started seeing how the pieces fit together. That became The Healing Matrix.
My understanding continued changing after I wrote the book
The Healing Matrix book organized the original framework into 44 pillars, but my understanding of those pillars did not freeze the day the manuscript was finished.
I have lived more since then.
I have healed more. Worked with more people. Observed more patterns. Questioned things I previously accepted. Changed my mind about things. Recognized connections I could once explain conceptually but can now see almost immediately when they appear in real life.
That evolution is part of why I created the course series.
The book contains the written framework.
The courses allow me to teach the framework from where my understanding is now.
How I Use The Healing Matrix With Clients
The Healing Matrix is the same framework I use in my private client work.
Someone may come to me because of a relationship, a decision, a repeated reaction, a family situation, a wound they already recognize, or simply because something in their life feels stuck and they cannot figure out why.
I start with what is happening now. Then I follow the pattern underneath it.
I may be looking at what keeps activating the response, where the belief came from, what role conditioning is playing, whether an old wound is still influencing a current choice, what someone automatically does when they feel threatened or rejected, what they have learned to tolerate, what they avoid, or what keeps appearing in completely different situations wearing a slightly different outfit.
The framework gives me a map. The person in front of me determines where we enter it.
That distinction matters because the Healing Matrix is not a checklist where every person begins at Pillar One and mechanically marches through all 44 pillars in exactly the same way.
Life is considerably less cooperative than that.
A person may recognize a relationship pattern before they understand the conditioning underneath it. Someone else may become aware of a belief first and later realize it developed around an emotional wound. Another person may already know where something came from and still have no idea how often it controls their automatic responses.
The framework helps me see how those pieces connect.
Why The Healing Matrix Begins With Awareness
Part One of The Healing Matrix is called Foundational Awareness: Awakening and Groundwork because awareness gives us something essential: information.

Before you can intentionally change a pattern, you have to recognize the pattern.
Before you can question conditioning, you have to realize that a belief or behavior may have been learned.
Before you can understand how an old wound is influencing your choices, you have to start noticing where that influence appears.
Before you can respond differently, you have to recognize the automatic response.
That sounds simple when written on a page.
Living it is another story.
You can understand a concept intellectually for years and then suddenly catch yourself doing it in real time and think, Oh, fuck. That’s me.
That moment matters.
Awareness gives you something to work with.
Awareness means observing what actually happens
A large part of this first section of the Healing Matrix is learning to observe yourself in ordinary life.
- What happens when somebody disappoints you?
- What thought appears first?
- What happens in your body?
- What do you automatically say yes to even though you want to say no?
- What role do you take when there is conflict?
- What happens when somebody gets close?
- What happens when they pull away?
- What do you avoid when you are afraid?
- What changes when you are exhausted?
- Your life produces information constantly.
Most of us were never taught how to look at that information as evidence. That is what we start doing here.
Awareness and Accountability Are Different From Attacking Yourself
One of the fastest ways to make healing harder is to turn every moment of self-awareness into a prosecution.
You recognize a pattern and immediately go to:
What the fuck is wrong with me?
That question rarely gets us very far. I am much more interested in understanding what happened. I did that.
Why?
- What was I responding to?
- What did I believe was happening?
- Where did I learn that response?
- What did my behavior create?
- Does that response still make sense here?
- Do I want to choose it again?
That is accountability with information attached to it.
You can recognize that something you did caused harm, created a problem, kept a pattern active, or moved you away from what you actually wanted without spending the next six months using that realization as another weapon against yourself.
Understanding why something happened does not erase responsibility. It gives responsibility somewhere useful to go.
Why The 44 Pillars Connect With Each Other
The Healing Matrix covers a lot of territory because healing touches a lot of territory.
The framework includes awareness, conditioning, cycles, patterns, trauma, hidden parts of ourselves, compassion, forgiveness, presence, rebuilding, growth, integration, and other parts of personal and spiritual development across its four sections.
Here is How the Healing Matrix Framework Works:
- Those subjects continually interact.
- A trigger may lead us toward trauma.
- Trauma may lead toward a belief.
- That belief may connect to childhood or family conditioning.
- Conditioning may influence a relationship pattern.
- The relationship pattern may expose resentment.
- The resentment may reveal a boundary problem.
The boundary problem may reveal a belief about love, responsibility, selfishness, safety, or worth. And suddenly the thing we thought we were dealing with at the beginning is only the front door. That interconnectedness is central to how I understand healing.
How The 44-Pillar Healing Matrix Is Structured

I divided The Healing Matrix into four separate parts because trying to absorb 44 layers of healing work at once would be fucking ridiculous. Information needs time.
- You learn something.
- You see it.
- You observe how it shows up in your actual life.
- You question it.
- You notice the places where your behavior and your understanding do not quite match yet.
- You experiment with another response.
Then another layer usually makes itself known because apparently healing enjoys job security. Each part of The Healing Matrix allows enough room to work with one section of the larger framework before moving deeper.
Part One: Foundational Awareness Awakening and Groundwork
The first part contains ten foundational lessons covering awareness, conditioning, cycles, patterns, mentalism, trauma, the hidden pieces of ourselves, compassion, forgiveness, and presence.
These lessons establish the groundwork for everything that comes later.
The remaining three parts move further into the deeper healing work, rebuilding, growth, and integration contained within the complete 44-pillar framework.
This is one body of work.
I divided it so you can actually use it.
The Healing Matrix Book and Course Are Different
The Healing Matrix book and the course series support each other, but they serve different purposes. The book contains the written framework, the original 44 pillars, reflection work, practices, and the material I developed while writing it.
The course is me teaching that material now.
That difference matters to me because I have changed since I wrote the original chapters. My understanding has changed. My work with clients has expanded it. My lived experience has changed it. Some ideas have gained more nuance. Some patterns are much easier for me to recognize now because I have watched them play out repeatedly in myself and in other people.
So I am not sitting in front of a microphone reading my book to you. Thank God. You can read. The course gives me room to teach the framework as a living body of work.
Part One of The Healing Matrix Is Free on YouTube
I made Foundational Awareness: Awakening and Groundwork, the first part of The Healing Matrix, available free on YouTube.
The course contains the complete first ten lessons, beginning with awareness and moving through the foundational pieces that help you start recognizing what may be happening underneath your reactions, beliefs, relationships, choices, and repeating patterns.
You can listen to the course in order, and each lesson is designed to give you something to observe in your actual life rather than simply another concept to understand intellectually.
As I publish the written lessons here, I will also link each article with its corresponding video so you can read, listen, or use both together.
The point is the same either way. Learn the information. Then watch what happens in your life. Because the lesson gives you one kind of information. Your life gives you the evidence.
What I Want The Healing Matrix to Give You
I am not interested in giving you another reason to spend the rest of your life trying to perfect yourself. I want you to understand yourself better. I want you to recognize when something feels familiar. I want you to be able to stop in the middle of a reaction and become curious about where it came from.
I want you to recognize when a belief belongs to your present life and when you may have inherited, learned, absorbed, or built it around something that happened years ago.
I want you to see the pattern underneath the event. Because once you can see what is happening, something changes. You have information. And information creates options.
You can say:
- This is happening.
- I recognize this.
- I understand more about where it comes from.
- And I have choices now.
That shift changed my life. It is also why I created The Healing Matrix.
